They fishing has been really good around here. I live by rough River and nolin. Water has indeed been up and down but we’re still finding quality fish.
GREENFISH LIKED above post
Grizzly, I'm close to Spurlock, just a little further up the road on Route 114.
Little John I have to drive 1 1/2 hours your way just to launch a boat..... they suck my lake so low there isn't any ramp access

I know what you mean, Lake'o
For me : drive times TO the following lakes are --
1.5-2hrs Cumberland
2hrs Green
1.5hrs Taylorsville
1.5hrs Cave Run
The two lakes that have shorter drive times, I have all but given up on (any time of the year) ... and they are Cedar Creek (1hr) and Herrington Lake (<1hr).
Pappy, I'm with you. I'm in Georgetown KY, so my drive times to any major lake that you listed is about 20-30 minutes longer for me. Got spoiled in SC, the ramp to get into Lake Marion near the dam was 0.3miles from my driveway. Could fish year round even in winter (Winter fishing was for Stripers, Blue Cats, Crappie and was good fishing even during the 'Winter' there). Even if it was 35 degrees in the morning, you knew it would be 45-60 degrees at least by noon. Man, miss that place, but needed to come back to KY to help take care of my parents who are in their 80's. Probably the right thing to do, but I agree with the original post, fishing sucks here during the winter unless you find a 'special' warm day to fish. I'm no longer interested in putting on 2-3 layers of clothes + a 'Cold Suit' to go fishing here during the winter.
Very nice Don!!!
Y'all having fun??
