Did you have insurance that covered the damage or a % of it? I'll be getting insurance for my new boat after hearing your tragedy.

Yikes! Sorry for your bad luck. Adding insult to injury, just when the fish were biting just isn’t fair.

Man sorry to hear that. I have always feared this happening. I bought a safety chain for mine along with the ratchet strap. Glad that you or noone was hurt.

Hate to hear this. That safety chain is law in Louisiana, but then again we have laws to cover everything that we can be fined for.......

I once turned upside down in a shopping center. Hit the curb with the trailer tire.
Fortunately no one behind you. Easily could have killed someone.

Glad you were not hurt the boat can be replaced. I know your pain only to well. Several years ago was coming home from shrimping and as I turned left a drunk used the right rear corner of my boat for target practice at about 60 mph. It is tough to have your boat pass you upside down. Everything was a total loss

Sorry to hear about your boat. Like many others have said, glad no one was hurt. It's a great idea to have a safety chain from the trailer to the boat. I use mine just going a hundred yards from the house to the boat ramp.
