i think I've selected my candidate for my vote! It will not be easy, as he is not a Republican candidate.

Help an old country boy out, how would releasing sterile carp help the situation??? Everything else sounds good.

Just got back from a month of fishing on the North end. Crappie was slow with the weather and water up and down. Didn't catch what I have caught in years past. Crappie were thinner than they used to be. I released several 12 to 16 inchers that were paper thin. AC was worse than I have ever seen them. Finally had one jump in my boat. It didn't live long with a crack over the head with my boat paddle. HAD THEM HITTING JIGS THIS TIME. Actually down in their throats. Those didn't live either. Jigging when you feel the thump you set the hook. This year A LOT of thumps was hitting ACs and then snagging them when setting the hook. DIDNT SEE THE SHAD LIKE IT USED TO BE. Never saw a Shad skipping the water or being chased. Crappie I cleaned didn't find nothing in their stomachs. The AC is ruining the lake totally. Seen a bunch of Skiers and Jet skies. Sat there thinking when will one of them get hit by a Carp. Just a matter of time it will happen. Had carp jumping in front of my boat this year trying to load boat on trailer. Never had that happen. Sure hope something can be done about them. If it isn't to late.

Good question. Maybe those sterile carp will still participate in the spawning process but any activity will not successfully result in any new fish, thereby causing greater numbers of unsuccessful spawns. But I could be way off
