If the boys are there, the ladies will show up eventually. I have a hard time believing the spawn is totally over. I’m sure some fish have spawned but some still will.

Attention: There are no female crappie in Enid.
Seriously, is anyone else only catching males, and I mean exclusively. This whole year I have caught quite a few fish and haven't caught a single female. Granted, I've mostly waded, but I've waded deep and fished 5 to 7 FOW. I have caught some shallow, 2 FOW or so, and I have ventured out a few times in the boat to jig deeper water. Same deal, all males.
I've lost a few fish, so those may have been female...would be one heck of a coincidence if the only fish I lose are females, but it's possible. I have been divorced twice, so maybe I'm predisposed to lose women.
I've heard people talking about the spawn being "about over" or "halfway done," but me and my males are still waiting for the ladies to show up!

Only caught females the other day when I was there in 10 to 14 foot of water, still had eggs in them.

Take a toilet seat with you next time you go and leave the seat up. One will be along shortly to complain about it.

I've been catching mostly females for past ten days. Every one of those females still had eggs in them.

I think the spawn will still be going for a little while longer!

Same for me at Sardis. However last trip I finally started catching some. It’s been a cold spring. I think the spawn is behind normal.

Glad to know there are some ladies out and about, and I'm certainly not complaining about catching fish, male or female. I started crappie fishing hot and heavy in the fall of 2008, and as far as I can remember, this is the only time I've caught only one sex of fish for...I guess I started fishing this year in late February or early March...about two months or so.
And yeah, I keep up with crazy details like that in a Fish Journal. We all gotta have something to do to pass the time.
