At noon we had 10 fish but the bite picked up around lunch and we ended the day with 20 fish between 11.5-14.5 inches. We caught 4 fish that were 14 inches and another 2-3 in the 13 inch range. We did not catch a throw back all day and all the fish we caught were crappie. Most of the fish we caught were in 10-13 feet of water. I pulled double and single 1/16 oz jigs while Jim pushed 1/16 oz jigs under a 3/4 oz sinker. Tennessee Shad, Wildcat and Lake Weiss Killer seemed to work best. During the afternoon we had to fish a relatively small area in order to stay out of the wind as much as possible. Fortunately, there were enough fish to keep us busy. We kept 12 fish and released the rest.

    Jay/Jim,

Great fishing and video. Glad you two were able to withstand the crappie weather. Wish I could have been there myself, however my wife and I are visiting our daughter and family in TN all week. Andy and I should be back on the lake soon, if this darn weather will ever get back to some normalcy. April shoul be a good month, but we may miss the spawn. Andy recently purchased a used Bass Tracker 17 and is restoring it, and is rigging it up for crappie trolling. Now, I just may have to find me another fishing partner. Any takers from middle GA area? I do have one person in mind though.
