Fished Cheney yesterday. Took home 14 nice crappie from 11" to 14". Caught them in 8 to 9 FOW on the bottom. All were in brush in the mouth of a cove. Was using Pole bender BOP series hot pink and yellow 3" baits made by shortdraw and orange 1/4 oz RR heads with small gold blade. Bite was really soft and nothing more than tension coming off the line mostly. 1/4 oz heads helped detect the lift better. I really like my new ACC crappie stix rods they are super light and sensitive with enough backbone to swing a 16" crappie in the boat without breaking. Really good for filling around in a brush pile.
