Thanks guys. This is the first time my son and I have been able to fish out of the "new" boat. He was out of town last week on a school trip and then spring break at the FL grandparents.
ford man, the new/old boat is doing great. Raising the motor one hole helped the porpoising a bunch and I have a stainless prop on the way and hope that takes the rest of it out. She rides like a dream in rougher water than I would have even gone out in before in the Tracker that I had. I've still got some odds and ends to do, make a couple boxes for the added compartments and things like that, but those can wait til mid summer. We've got crappie to catch. LOL
Cline, there were several bass boats running around, but there were also a few crappie boats that I saw and talked with. Two from TN. One local. I also saw a man and woman in one of those little 10' plastic pond boats, run 2-3 miles from the boat ramp they put in at, in the wind, with rain and possible T'storms in the forecast. I've never seen one of those boats with an outboard mounted to it, but they had one on this one. There is NO WAY that I'd have the guts to ride that boat across the lake like they did. Neither one of them had a life jacket on either.
