I use to get in the yard to cut grass on the tractor, lawn tractor or push mower, till the garden, plant, work the garden and find up to 12 ticks on me each day. Didn't matter if I sprayed with 12 or 33% deet or used 78% toweletes. I've had free range chickens for 3 years and the ticks have reduced, none last year.

Saturday on the way home from Enid I stopped at Batesville walmart and checked what they had on clearance that I need, nothing.
Then a stop at Senatobia walmart. 3 8.125 oz cans of Repel 15% deet @ $1. Nothing else.
I picked up my grandson at 5pm today from school. Dropped him at home then stopped at Horn Lake walmart. Off 15% deet 9 oz twin pack $5. I bought 3 and left a few. I checked in garden section, 1 can $6.

[QUOTE=deltarat;3556934]The vets have a pill that you give once a month that works well. I spray my yard all year and don't have any fleas, tics or fire ants. My dog will get a flea maybe once a year and I will give him and pill and it knocks them out. I know it is way less than $80.[/QUOTE

What do you spray to keep out fire ants
