I saw an article that says sportsmen will be unable to buy a license for hunting or fishing in stores and bait shops starting the end of January till the beginning of April. Has anyone heard anything or have more details?

That will be a big shock to those out of state folks wanting to come down when the crappie are on the bank.... or tourneys
It's easier to just buy your license online these days. I bought my OK non resident license on the way to the lake. I did the same for my LA license last year.
After a little research I answered my own question but figured it might help out someone else who hasn't heard. I'll be getting mine on line before I come down the end of February.

Bite the bullet and bye the lifetime hunting and fishing license and be done with it. I don't know how much money I saved over the last 35 yrs.

Chip I wish I would have been wise enough to buy a lifetime license many years ago like you did. It's too late now 73 years old as I doubt I'll get to use it enough to make it worthwhile. I must say though, the 5 dollar yearly fee for me is great and it covers all fishing and hunting.

When I was young enough for a lifetime license to really pay off I probably couldn't afford one.
