Longer poles if fish are shallow is the only advantage of 16fters.If I was gonna buy new spiderrig poles I would probably be buying Capps and Coleman or bgjp's.I have southern sky and a friend has Capps and colemans and you can tell the difference in the tip speed when it's windy.My poles seem to flop around compared to his in my opinion.I have also mixed in a bgjp with my southern setup and also get less wave action with the bgjp.
