    Default The Worst Just Happened....Grounded.....

Went fishing yesterday....quit at 3....got about 1/2 mile from launch and motor died....so I just used my trolling motor to get back in....a little problem getting the boat back on the trailer but some guy at the launch helped me get it winched up....the motor acted like it was being starved for gas....pulled the cover this morning and I found a broke belt at the top of the motor (runs the air compressor)....see picture...went and showed my mechanic the picture I took and he said it will not run without that belt....so, it will be next Wednesday before he can get to it...oh well, I am overdue for general maintenance like water pump, lower unit, plugs, etc.....may be in the shop for a day or two....somehow, fate is forcing me to slow down.....no problem.....so, that means no Henderson reports from me next week (did I just hear a "hooray" in the background).....except the one I will make tomorrow when I clean my fish....

It happens Mr. Bruce but glad to hear you didn't get stranded and now you'll have peace of mind knowing everything is in proper running order for prime time!

After all those years making a living with an outboard I really appreciate the simplicity when I take the kayak. Never wonder if you are going to have to paddle in.

The Worst Just Happened....Grounded.....What he said. Timing belt is a relatively easy fix. It could be way worse. Sometimes the Good Lord has way of putting you back where you need to be.

Before you started loading the boat with all them fish it ran great. Maybe you need more power since you started catching so many.
