ESPN came recently for a commercial clip during a football game being broadcasted on TV. They chose to film the Petroleum Engineering department because we are the heart of the industry. Yours truly was chosen because I'm so photogenic. The lighting is odd in the pictures, but that's how they do such things from what I'm told. They won't release the video, but a couple of still shots:

Pulled down my collection of Calvin and Hobbes to read once again. Once dark outside, beats the TV hands down. The alter ego of Calvin is excellent:

This one I thought was cute, and the truth:

Very nice Kirk, a fine smoker for sure. I like that a lot, you roll well. Show me a picture sometime of a brisket cooked on that if you would. Don't blame you using the hickory since you have it around. Same reason I use pecan, have plenty around here. I'll be having brisket once again this evening - can't help myself. Ya'll have seen enough of my brisket pictures.

Asked Ann to make me a coffee cake. She's providing pecan sandies cookies instead this evening. I like shortbread type cookies.

SEC game action at it's finest. 93 points, and 958 offense yards. A&M slips past Arkansas 50-43 in overtime. Fine game Hog fans, enjoyed it. Sumlin's job is on the line, he needed that.

I'm glad my boys took their vitamins.

As one of the "deplorable people" as myself, this is total BS. As my president said, "get those SOB's off the field, they're fired!" I agree.

The press is all up in arms over his statement. To those that wanted sprinkles on their cupcakes saying the Confederate Flags need to come down so we can "all get along" hadn't a clue about their statement at the time, nor the repercussions involved. I said such several months ago when it began.

I'm not out to become hero of the year, nor give a darn about such things. It's the way I roll.

Bruce, a man has to live until he dies so no use sitting in the corner waiting for the appointed hour. Live life to the fullest.
