Sure wish I could have made it. I have met some great friends through this site, events, FJ's. Sounds like those that didn't make it missed a GREAT TIME. Thanks to all that keep this going. I ran a volunteer youth organization several years back, and I can tell you, that a "pat on the back" goes a long way.

Nice Job John and others that gave their time and efforts

Rees, I appreciate this event you started and the impact it's has on individuals. Especially the youth being introduced to the outdoors and fishing. I appreciate the opportunity to cook for old and new friends. Hope to see all of you at our camp in November.

If our fall schedule allows we will be there, fall is very busy in the newspaper business. I appreciate your help cooking for our event, man it was good.

    John,
Thanks again to you, Miss Tammy, and all the Mississippi Forum folks for your welcoming attitude and all the hard work that was put into the event. We got our group together at the last minute when all of our schedules meshed. We had a ball but being able to meet old friends that we had never laid eyes on was the best.

Ed Duke with Southern Crappie Rods sent his best and was really happy that the 2 young men got the SCR122T rods.

Special thanks to Slab for putting us all together in one place. I have made so many friends from first reading posts then getting to meet many from all over the country. I had a bunch of folks walk up to me Saturday, before the name tags came out, who stuck out their hands and said "I know you, you're mrdux". Most had never laid eyes on me but knew me thru the forums and still were willing to introduce themselves and shake my hand. That made an old fat guy from KY feel special.

We welcome each and every one of you to our KY Lake ShinDig on November 10th and 11th. The fishing should be really good then and I hope you will consider coming down/up a few days early and sample what KY and Barkely Lake have to offer. There are plenty of lodging options close by to Mike Miller Park at Draffenville. It is only 1/2 mile from the Purchase Parkway. It took us a bit over 4 hours to drive to Enid. Any questions can be addressed to me or any of the KY Lake regulars here.

David, I was serious about you guys using my boat while you are here, even in the Fruit Jar. I seriously doubt I'll be able to get in the boat with it being 4 weeks after my knee replacement but will be glad to get the boat to Sportsmans for you guys. I pay dearly for insurance so you guys won't have that worry. I will ask that you keep a large guy from Bowling Green, KY away from my waypoints.

That is a great pic even if I am a little biased. That boy is chomping at the bit to go to Grenada this weekend.

We had a ball. Quality event all the way around.
