Thanks Prater, I haven't got to fish as much as I've wanted this year for sure. I'm planning on going back Saturday for a while myself, hopefully the wind will cooperate.

Great looking catch of white crappie, I am always envious of those as the big G use to produce those kind of catches in the 60's and early 70's!! They would always be hot when the dog woods were white and usually done by the time the dogwood blooms dropped off . Not looking good for the white crappie as the males should be in total black tuxedo mode by now, the girls can only hold the eggs for so long and the water temp is right for them and has been for the last 5 days or so. I believe the black crappie over in Guntersville have had a very good spawn this year with the water and temps staying consistent most of the time for once other than the one last weekend temp dip. Since wheeler just got up to full pool and then some maybe it has delayed the spawn some.
Excellent catch to be proud of. Congratulations!

My father in law has talked about their trips to Big G in the 70's and 80's and he said it was great. Told me it was nothing to go over there at browns creek and almost walk from boat to boat catching them big white crappie. I honestly think any day the white crappie with be full on spawn mode in Wheeler Lake. It should be a good spawn with the water and temp being stable. No males in tuxedos where I been fishing tho.
