That's what I remember about Tablerock when I lived down there. Numbers were hard to come by but the quality was outstanding.

Took a buddy out to Tablerock lake. Stayed in the Aunts Creek arm. Water temperature was at 58 int the morning and got up to 61 in the evening. It was super windy on Saturday and Sunday. I made it very hard to sit on the brush piles plus lake is 10 feet low. Would have had better luck with the crappie if we went up towards the James river area but we just hung around. Sunshine and cold beers was the best part of the trip. These crappie were caught in 25 feet of water. Swimming minnows.![]()
