    Default Lake wateree 2-19-17

Niel and I headed out of Clearwater cove at 0730 and struggled after going up the lake towards the state park. Both concluded water isn't stained, its muddy. Headed back down the lake fished, fished, fished some more. Bounced all over the lake and sat over structure in 27-32 ft and had to be patient. Finally found a place and ended up with 8-9 including 2 x two pounders. I miss the decent water clarity. Been muddy pretty much each weekend.

Way to stay with it Tim, good finish to a tough day. I hate I couldn't make it down Friday, still sick but fighting thru it. Take care and good fishing.

I was fishing with a friend and saw you over across from Clearwater cove behind an island where we were fishing before lunch. The wind was a little tough and the bite was slow this morning but picked up good this afternoon. Sorry I wasnt able to speak but was kind of busy! I recognized your rig with the small trolling motor on the side. Good luck, keep on working it!!

I got a call from Micorp late Saturday asking if I wanted to meet him Wateree. The wife said she thought I should be ok for a day trip so I meet Tim at the ramp and we set out.
Muddy water. Fishing was real slow but we picked up 10 crappie and 3 cats and a perch to end the day. All 10 crappie were quality fish. All but one was over a lb and a half with the one around a lb.
Tim caught 2 2+lbers. His firsts.
All in all had a great day.
I'll post some pics later today.
Thank a Veteran every chance you get.

Good going to both of you. The shadow of the crappie on your shirt shows up good Tim. You need to get one made up that way! Hate the muddy stuff too! Hard fishing with results is always good. Congrats!
