    Default 1/28 Wylie nightstalk

We hit the water at 6PM only two boat captains were willing to brave the not so cold weather. OLDFish and ScooperDude.
John did some scouting and picked the perfect spot to set up. I left my phone and green under water lights at home so I ran the white lights under the boat which worked out well. The fish were stacked up like cord wood under the boat. 34 fow 6 cranks up from the bottom is where they seemed to hold.
Our crappie count at 10:30 was 30 unknown number of perch went home with Stevie for a friend's cat fish bait.We didn't have one crappie that was shorter than 9" most in the 10-13". My wife caught more than me because I was baiting dehooking and detangling for a good part of the nite.
We both had an excellent nite on the water

I managed one double last nite, I'm getting to like this double thing
Hopefully John will get up sometime today and post some pictures.
Thanks to John for setting this up, too bad more boats didn't show up, they missed a perfect evening

Grady , Had a great time jawing with ya. Good to see the bride out with ya on a cool evening. And the puppy was in dog heaven from what I could see. I know now who the fisher person is on that boat. But you were a good skipper and kept her happy. We was going to setup at a spot out on the big water but the wind was a killer. Went to back of a cove and was kind of sheltered from the wind. I said kinda !~Air temp in mid 40's. Was in 34 fow. Water temp at 51. Slight bit of stain back there. As Grady said no more than 15 minutes and fish on. They would come and go. One minute there were 3-4 rods down at a time and then nothing for a few minutes. Dont know the exact total but gonna be near 65 or more keepers. You gave us 30 and I think Stevie said we had that many or more. Most fish in the 10 - 13 in. range. Lot of small returns. And we made the whole catfish tourney happy with perch. Hate some folks were under the weather. But it will be better soon. We ready for the next one. Ya'll get ready to rock. Sorry bout the pic's. I aint no photographer for sure.

John, those are some good pictures, thanks for reporting a good time. Glad you'll got on them. Yeah, I hate I didn't go. But you'll pulled it off and got some reward for it. I'll have to force myself to go with you'll next time. Hammett went out looking for you'll but he was bass fishing. Again, thanks for the pictures. You'll did good!
