logan martin would be your best bet! Launch at Lakeside Landing or town and country and you'll be in crappie land. Theres even a cheap Motel just a few minutes before the launch area that a lot of fisherman stay at. Only about 45 mins to BHAM.

Thanks for the info gents I would probably try day and night fishing. From what I heard oak man is only good from a boat. Jiggah I technically come to Hoover when I am down that way. Is there any state bans on hydro Glow fishing lights. If you ever want to know if a lake is dry take one of those lights and go night fishing. You won't have to hunt the fish. If they are there then they will come to you and the light.

We use the green lights all the time with no issues. A lot of people do. Visit the game and fish website for rules. I don't think so? I know there is a 30 catch limit and size 10 inch to keep .. ? I'll check hold on.

Hydro-Glo lights are legal in Ala. I used 2 of them for years. The creel limit is 30 per person and the length limit is 9 inches state wide except 10 inches on Weiss Lake.

Ok guys I have to ask how do you catch fish around these lights. I have a friend who has a light on his dock and me and my daughter have fished it for hours and not caught any fish. We have backed off and fished out side the light area and thrown everything in the boat at them. Now we did not have any live minnows. Suggestions?
