    Default Watteree 1/14

Howdy yall, been a while since I've posted. whisker whippier and my significant other launched at the state park and went south to some clear water. I went to my favorite spot and started marking fish stacked like fire wood. We set out some lines and hooked up. My troll motor batteries are in bad need of replacement so we couldn't cover the water like I wanted. Got 2 24" stripes right away and couldn't stay on them.
Well we being modern thinkers, decided to pour a can on monster in the minnow bucket and let them tow the boat. And tow they did, wound up with a 16" slab, some eater blue cats and some blue mouth perch. BTW, the weather folks missed Saturday bad. Some of the crew got sunburned faces.

Thanks for sharing your report, I've never fished Wateree before, I have fished on the Santee Cooper lakes, thinking of making the trip to wateree in February, does Wateree get muddy easy, before making the 6 hour drive there, if I get on here and ask about the water color, would someone let me know if it is muddy or not, again thanks for the report

Yes it gets muddy, but it doesn't affect the fishing to much. Sometimes a couple days after the hard rain it will improve the bite.
