Glad you had a good hunt and plenty of fellow ship. Hats off to ya for respecting that big boy and not taking an unethical shot. I was an outfitter in Illinois for 10 years and you would not believe the hunters that would have taken that shot only to wind up with a wounded deer that will probable die or be crippled up the rest of his live. Good sportsmen ship Tim, thanks for sharing.

Thank You Vic. I gave Megan my Winchester last Christmas for that same reason. Too many old injuries might keep me from getting one back out if he ran off into someplace bad. I thought my hunting days were done, but everyone had a different idea. Fish with Slab on Thanksgiving morning, and with the SIL mike on Saturday and caught good fish both times. Then leave out Sunday for Texas. It was a heck of a time for me.
