Default Glad the Duck season opened today & not next weekend

Got to the ramp at 6:45am with the parking lot full, for the opening of hunting for Duck season I believe, was lucky to find a parking spot & off I went, the fish are not on fire, but I think it will be very interesting next weekend to see the 5 fish weight....some very healthy fish being caught, here's some pics of some ammo "baits" to load for the Slabfest... the hidden 1 is the best color....acid rain

Nice pictures. Gonna get out there, Tuesday, for a few hours, then it will be work, work, work trying to get ready for the feast. Then it's turkey, homebrew and football, for two days. Then it's SlabTogether. I don't think it can get much better.😀

Them's nice feesh! That Beetle Spin has been around my tackle for a long time. A red spot sometimes works when they get stingy(sp). Good trip, no energy for me today and worked yesterday so no report from me.

Andy, the water is already back to normal, however, the migration seams a little slow this year sooooyou might catch a few in transition, but the big gals might just be in your center lake track

Andy, I've been watching the I-4 posts on the river since the storm. The posts were at water level just after the storm and they're about 6 to 8" out of the water now and the docks on the free side of the river have been back out from under water for a week now so I would think that most of the back woods buffet is over for the fish. Still a bit higher than it was for a while before the storm but close to normal. I have had a river trip buggin me for 2 weeks now and would have gone this morning if I had more faith in the weather liars. They said breezy which can mean anything from 5 to 25 mph so I stayed home, and the wind never got above 5mph from what I saw. Oh well.

fishing this lake is gonna go dry
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
