    Default Bundicks today

Well got a day off today so I went to Bundicks. Ended up catching 6 with 3 of them being over 1.5lbs. No color worked better than the other. Did catch one nice one on the grey ghost that Pastor tied for me and 1 on the red/chrt hair jig Jlaughlin tied for me and the other nice one was caught on a tri color jig - orange top, purple body and cream pepper tails. I launched at 7 and fished until 11. Wind got terrible about 9:30 and I only managed 1 more after the wind got bad. I do have a new appreciation for you guys that spider rig! I tried my new hi tech rod holders out and they work great BUT I got the 4 rods on them and 1 got hung up so I was trying to get that one un hung, when I noticed the other one get a hit.....Set the hook only to find out that the "hit" was me with the other rod!! Spent the next hour getting that mess untangled! Really fished from 8-11! Fish were caught 14 to 16 feet deep in 18-20 fow. Fish were NOT in the deeper water but seem to be starting to stage. Here are the pictures.

    Quickly turned them into this!

Great post, You are right it is VERY HARD to spider rig in the wind.
If you dont have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find time time to fix it.

Good post Shadow. I like the last pic best.....

I've got a spider rig set up now and can troll 8 if I wanted too but most of the time I end up with 2 poles in the rack out the front and I'll hold 2 poles. Getting them to hit poles in those holders is harder than it looks for sure....

Yep...14 ft. rods fanned out to give more separation helps...Most of the time 3/4 oz. weights is enough ....if really windy....heavier weights.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I just can't bring myself to set a rod down yet. I know it's coming though, especially if I keep paddling. I can't even hold two rods w/o something going wrong. Some really nice fish there. You can't beat the last picture though.
Those depths are crazy diff from here right now. What's weather like over on BUNDICKS THIS, BUNDICKS THAT?
