Default Talquin fest guys and Mike and Phantom

Those who were at Talquin a couple weeks ago met my buddy Warren Leblanc. He is a new member on here, goes by marineaok. Anyway we fished today and kept 3 blue cats(small), 3 bass and 3 red fish. All caught in the marsh off the intercoastal waterway west of Lake Charles,La. On the way to the landing we tried a couple pilings. My brother was with us and had an ultralight rigged and had caught some crappie in this area 2 days ago, only about 1/4 mile from landing. I had a red fish spinner bait tied on so I tried it. We caught a couple of the bass and a keeper red. Warren was sitting it out , but I talked him into trying with a spinner bait in hope of catching a few more. I looked at a spot and said this area should hold red fish also. No sooner had I said it, Warren and I see a nice red hit his spinner. The picture is the results. We had know idea it was this big. 12 lbs. Released after a nice 10 minute fight under the boat. lol
