Govt. suggests eating only 1 fish a month

I told my wife that I wanted to either die of eating too many fish ....or...chasing wild women around. She told me to eat the fish they couldn't possibly kill me as fast as the other.

Alabama Depth of Public Health publishes an annual fish consumption guide. It is surprisingly detailed. For instance, it will actually specify particular locations by mile marker on the Tennessee river. Mostly find bass or catfish listed. Doesn't really matter to me. I like fishing. Catching is a bonus. Cleaning is no fun. I normally catch and release, or occasionally bring enough home for a meal.

Baptize em in the lake of oil ask the blessing over them and dig in! Gota be better than some of the processed stuff we
eat out if the stores.

I tend to think the benefit out weighs the consumption warnings in most cases . That said I read some stuff that says pregnant women and children are the ones that need to adhere to the warnings and suggestions most

Some lakes and rivers have a problem with pollutants or metals . Our state fisheries puts out a list of waters and advises limits on certain waters and fish . Most worry about small kids and pregnant women eating them. Here we only have an advisory on larger Largemouth Bass on my home lake . Why just those as crappie and Catfish eat same Shad ? I knew an old timer that ate only Bass and Catfish real often . Usually bigger ones too . It finally killed him I guess cause he lived way up in his 80's . :rolleyes:
