74 in November.....We have "Geezer Camps" that are scheduled during the middle of the week so we don't get in the way of the "Young Folks". During the week they are working and paying their Social Security taxes which allows us to receive our SS checks once a month.........

I'm 47 and am lucky enough to still have both my parents. Dad is 75 and may not be as speedy as he used to be, but he's still a tough ole coot and hammers the crappie every chance he gets. He doesn't go by himself very often anymore after getting his old flatbottom hung up on a stump at White Oak and sitting there for a couple of hours until someone came by and helped him get loose. Dad taught high school math and driver's ed for 33 years. He taught in the late 60s and 70s at Sheridan High School, then returned to his alma mater and taught at Bearden High School in the early 80s. He took a break and sold real estate for a few years, then returned to teaching and finished his career in 2000 at Harmony Grove High School, where I currently teach. My mom taught high school for over 30 years as well.

He and my friend, Perry, went last Friday and caught 11 crappie and a kitty kat at White Oak. No pics, but they said one of the crappie was a 2+ pounder. GTT
