Default Hello gentlemen, finally a few pics.

I have been a member for several years but hate computers and such but since downloading tapatalk pics aren't such a pain. Here's a few from one of my honey holes this spring and summer.

Not as big as spring gills but summer gills are fun and harder to find so I'm just happy to still be on fish.

Always a bonus fish or two.

Mr. Reliable, tied on a 1/64oz button head jig I pour on a #8 sickle hook and tie with mallard drake butt feathers. Redears, redbreasts, bluegills are my favorite fish.

    Hope y'all enjoy

Thats a rod and reel I would be proud to own. Would you tell us the details of what they are?

The rod is a 2pc 7' light action B&M Sam Heaton super sensitive jigging rod. I use it for float fishing only. The reel is a Pflueger President Limited. I spool it up with 4lb p line cx and a 6' leader of 6lb silver thread an40 green line. The 4 casts better and the 6 gives me better abrasion for fishing around rocks and brush. I tie them together with a blood knot, back to back uni knot or surgeons knot, since your into particulars. 😆 The rod has a great action and is kinda parabolic or moderate action but the reel seat and guides aren't the best. The reel is really top notch though.

Those are awesome photos. You are indeed blessed to only be one minute from the boat ramp. Enjoy all of your time on the water. I know many people, including me, who would love to be in your shoes my friend.

Great pictures and post. I have a couple of those SHSS rods in 7' and 9'. Great rods for the purpose.
