7 HOURS, You have got to be kiidin. pm me and i will give you the number of the lady at minor emergency nick named the hooker. i was not in there 30 min max. she has done two on me before i found out you can get a buddy to string and yank it out with very little pain. just be sure you have had a tetanus shot in the last 5 years.

I leave them on, no rod holders I just tie them down and separate as best I can. Have gotten to where I check my line for frayed spots for the 10' - 15' or so from bait up before each outing. Had a couple early day break offs before. I use mono 6# though. Hadn't gotten into the snaps just tie straight to the eye. And usually flopping fish compromise me taking a hook more than transport. Just push the barb thru the other side cut it off, pull back out, wrap with tape and keep fishin'.. sounds better on paper ain't had to do it yet, but I don't like ER's or Co pays... Lol..

Not so much as brave, more on the cheap side. Spooled my line counters up with what I had on hand at the time. I been meaning to up it a bit. Figured my cranking season is about done so what the hay... really not an issue sides the fraying part and if I watch it it's no big deal. Anything over 5 lbs 3oz I don't want in the boat anyway...

If you have carpet and no rod racks, definitely take them off.

I leave mine on but you would think I would learn after having to cut the 2nd hook out of my left hand last night. Prepping the boat for guide parties both times. Last night was an easy one. I was able to clip the treble off then back the hook out of the top of my knuckle on my left ring finger. I have no idea why I didn't get a pic of it. There was a lot less blood last night than after the 20 minutes it took to push the other one thru a month or so ago. No emergency room visits here.

Someone posted a video on how to remove a hook a while back...would like to see it
