Slabin is right....use what you like and what your used too as long as its working for ya. I have been useing Cabelas Pro-Line Hi Vis yellow ten Lb. mono for years. I like it. Some guys prefer braid and thats ok too.

My question is if mono has worked why did you switch? Stay with what you know you start messing around with what works it causes more problems.

The biggest mistake a lot of people make is trying to put the target depth right in their face and they usually wind up too deep. I try to set my target depth two ft. above....they will come up for it.

Catfish will make you change to braid!!!!!! I wont go back to mono, but thats me.

I have been using mono but made up a bunch of braid leaders because the catfish were fraying the mono so bad... It has worked pretty good for me so far...
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I use these leaders and never have had a problem with catfish breaking them and the are about $3 a pack
