Put you a trolling plate on your big motor. I have no problem going 1.8.

I have a really old MinKota trolling motor that went too fast. I put a little PWM (Power Wave Modulation) unit in line with my trolling motor. I can dial in any speed I want. Very energy efficient with no energy lost in heat generation. Cost $18.00 from China. Found it on Amazon. Installed it this spring, but have probably used it 15-20 times. Sure made my fishing a lot more enjoyable.

Lowe, what kind of rod holder to you have there? I'm referring to the actual riser part if they are not one and the same.

They are called Tite-Lok Black Widows. They r solid! they are all one unit. They were a 4-pole holder. But I took one off each pod to make it a 3 pole holder n the back.
