Glad the damage wasn't any worse. I've had 2 taken out at the ER before I was taught how to remove my own. I've removed a few from guests in my boat with little loss of blood, small jig hooks. My bandits carry serious hooks and I have no doubt they would be tougher to remove. Using braid and pushing down on the eye and they sometimes pop out clean, hopefully I won't find out. Glad business is going good for you. Fish on!

Great stories, content could be a little happier. Glad it turned out well in the end.

The only thing I caught with my outboard was a 15lb Navy Anchor.
I was motoring to my spot, dropped the motor into neutral and fired up the trolling motor for the final approach to my spot, killed both motors. Fished for about 15-20 minutes. No action, at least not Crappie action so it was time to try another spot. Tired to fire up the motor, got it running, but not very well. Kicked it into drive and barely moved, then stopped moving. Repeated this three times. Then tilted the motor up so I could check the prop. Found floating anchor line wrapped around the prop/shaft. Untangled it and pulled up a 15 lb. coated Navy Anchor. Ironically the same type I lost in the lake earlier that year. Different spot. I still use that anchor.

I got my own line in my prop a few years ago. While I was stretched out trying to remove it, my chap stick fell out of my pocket. I saw it get sucked under by I am guessing a white bass. A couple of seconds later, it popped back up to the surface. DP
