First off....H, I didn't mean to hi jack your thread.

The red in H's baits I really like but felt it may be too much in a smaller bait so I opted to just do a dot of it way forward before the other two colors got added. While I am not a fan of heavy glitter in colors the red and the silver in H's baits really click with that black back. I opted for the smoke because I intended to brush the green and blue backs and didn't want to fight a dense color.

Skeet, the smaller the baits the harder it is to get precise detail. Sometimes getting out of the conventional train of thought with tools and techniques helps but small is just plain challenging regardless of how well we adjust. I'm retired, have plenty of time, have good eye sight yet and a fairly steady hand so I enjoy working with smaller baits using some of the less than conventional methods and adaptive tools.

I like sharing what I do with smaller baits hoping others take up the challenge and start making baits of their own using some of the same ideas and principles I use. It isn't hard, but it does take some patience and creativity and everyone is creative in their own way.
