It's kind of like "if you feed them they will come." Last year I killed about 8 in the garden. I expect my first kill this year any day now. I also killed possums, coons and ground squirrels in the garden and had a coyote on my trail camera eating watermelon just outside the garden. Then there are the deer.

My problem is I am surrounded by neighbors and have to be discreet can't use my shotgun. Have found some 22s that make almost no noise just have to be close in.

Detailman, a few years ago I had the little devils stealing all my green tomatoes so I opened season and wound up killing 21 of them little buggers. After seeing all the young squirrels around this year it looks like I'm gonna have to do it all over again. Just depends if they start stealing maters I guess.

Well since several of you have chimed in about the pointy faced devils I thought I would include the link from a post I made last year on the Off Topic Forum. This is what Hobo was referring to:

Hot water just read the link laughed till I cried. I have a 3x9 scope on my 22 and am shooting some ammo that I found at academy that makes less noise than a air rifle. I just have to have them in close and they are done for. I shot one Monday and he ran through the fence into the neighbors yard and his dog grabbed him and finished him off. Ole Butch strutted around the back yard like he had gone on done something. Now he sits on the back steps and wags his tail every time I pick up my rifle with a look of you wing him and I will get him.

Glad you enjoyed the post. I'm glad you found some "neighborhood ammo". I upgraded my arsenal this year. I went to a Ruger 10/22 take down and bought a hogue stock and also went with a 3X9 scope. So far I'm not happy with the stock as it is like aiming a 2X4 board. Hogue makes nice stocks and I may opt for their more traditional stock. I miss the drop.
