This looked like a real good pan fish lure so I had to try my luck at making a few. I did not have the correct shells but did have some #0 willow blades.
With this model I use a # 0 willow spinner and a # 10 hook. This would produced a 1/64 once jig. I had to make a fixture to hold the hook in place or it would move around.
The heads were cleaned with a solvent,powdered painted, glittered, and tail dressed.

Have you guys tried tube inserts the type that you use on plastic skirts you can take the insert and take a hammer and flatten them entirely on like you have done in the above picture your feathers we've been doing this for quite some time works quite effective I packed my inserts a way or else I would displace some here you can do a lot of different things with powder coating is you can have it look many different ways by dusting powder on top of powder tried to display some of these when I get relocated later on.
