Thumbs up Ms. Lexie's first crappie 4/24/16

My wife had promised my three year old grand-daughter that we would go fishing after church, so we headed down to Beaverdam and got on the water around 2pm. I wasn't sure how long she would stay or being her first time in the boat if she would even like it or not. Not to worry, she took to it like a lab to a tennis ball. She ended her first trip around 5pm and had reeled in 20 crappie. By the end she was telling me that she didn't need my help, go figure. I'm missing a few jigs and a sack of oreo's, but I had a great time watching her follow a long family tradition of crappie fishing. Here's a few pics of the occasion. Now, we've got to get her little brother on board...

That's what it is all about, teaching them young so they can enjoy fishing all their life and then passing it along to the next in line. Great pictures

Enjoyed the report. Glad she had a good time. Wife and I figured she was averaging about 2 or 3 Oreos per Crappie. Pretty darn good in my book.
