    Default Bundick's Lake 3-25-16


    Me and my youngest son made a half day trip this morning.. The lake looks like it's pretty close to normal stage.. The bite was real slow, but it was mostly quality fish that were biting.. We ended up keeping 21. The pic is of the bigger ones, there were another 8 still in the ice chest that were in the 9-10 inch range.. and we only threw back about 8 shorter fish.. All the fish were caught in 5-9 feet of water bottom bouncing jigs... My best bait was the 1/16 oz black/chartreuse hair jig that i tied the other day, also caught on blue/white hair jig and a couple on a black/yellow hair jig.. and we caught about 8 or 10 on tube jigs in a red/chartreuse and black/orange. Water temp was 62 and some of the females seemed to have dropped their eggs already and some looked like they hadn't started yet.

    You can't fish with a hung line!

    That looks like a nice place to fish. Probably 2 hours from here though. Looks like nice cabin rentals there. I'm jealous of that catch. All day today for 3 on Lacassine.

    I'm not sure if they have any cabin rentals there. None that I know of anyway but hey I have been wrong before! lol I'm sure Johnny will respond if he knows of any. There is a RV place not too far from it but it isn't much, just some RVs in a yard basically.
