Last week of March Ill be there. Yes Bama S there is a state park. I have never been there by land but they say it is nice.
The last one was at Jackson Co park. Seemed nice but I didn't camp.
Guntersville State park. Its located on the east side of the lake on Town creek. Rooms start at 104 per night. cabins 155 per night campsites 25 per night full hook up. Ive never been there via road but its closer to Guntersville than scottsboro and on the other side of the lake. It is on what I would call the lower end. If you guys have never been to the Big G it is a big body of water. Most of the big Creeks are from Scottsboro south. I grew up on the Tenn. line and have fished more in the mid lake to nothern end because of distance. The lower end is very good Town creek, Browns creek, Honey comb e.c.t Callshy and some of those guys are much more familiar with that area. I guess what I'm trying to say is the whole lake can be a great fishery. The main concern with Big G is wind. It can get dangerously rough if you are in a small boat and out on the main lake. I think all will enjoy. Ill be driving over so I dont care where you guys decide. Jackson county park is nice and motels rooms are plentiful in scottsboro. State park a Gville on lower end.
Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro at the marina has a nice campground with fish cleaning stations and bath houses. Rate variy from 12.20 for primitively camp site to 40.20 for water front full hookup with water/sewer/cable/ power. Cabins also available. About 15 mins to waterfront launch if you want to fish mid lake and 30 mins to Guntersville.

They have a pavilion that we could use at no charge as long as someone is staying at the camp ground
It may not matter to some but March 25-27 is Easter weekend.
Would it be better to do it the weekend prior?
Howdy Hi there friends and neighbors, just puttin my 2 cents worth in....where-ever, when-ever, how-ever, I'LL BE THERE. All i need to know is WHEN? & WHERE? and i will take care of the HOW!!!!!!
I have never attended a cdc function and very interested in a camp near me that might happen I'm March. Don't let this not happen I think that there is plenty of interested people. Let's pick a date and place. South Sauty, Guntersville State Park, Goose Pond all have cabins and RV in hookups.
I vote for Goose Pond on Guntersville the weekend before Easter 18-20 Mar
