Default Nature & Slowww fishing report

Wanted to blame the full Moon, thinking the fish been eating all nite, but maybe I should have read my previous report about the fish leaving the lake at Harney....fished 6 hrs Saturday in the morning catching a blazing 2 per hr, then tried the river & caught a big Zero & the weather couldn't have been better....Sooo Sunday I thought how bout Jessup & even picked up some minnows went for the afternoon bite starting at !pm, my Son asked, aren't you going to watch the 500 race?...said it's to nice out & off I went, trolled a few hrs, then tried some bank fishing w/float & minnows NADA til' 5 pm & silently asked myself can I at least see 1 speck in Jessup...BANG 10 ft pole shows action, pull out of the water & a double 4 inch fish, the irony , so as the Sun is low at 6pm I trolled the bridge & caught around 15 in the last 1/2 hr of light, typical 11"-12" Jessup fish, but answered my question YES Jessup still holds specs & things ended on a high note. Really took in some nature on Jessup...Pics of these Pelican looking bird,s hundreds of them, snow white w/very clean off yellow color beaks & hundreds more of their young...a bald eagle in the tree tops.. same time photo of Moon on 1 side of bridge & Sun-set on other, OH, had these 2 air-boats stop by when fishing the bank & said "hey" did you see that Oak tree growing out of that Cypress trunk, Yep, immediately thought of Speckanator's post about this same tree... & answered crazy isn't it...

Jessup calls me back every once in awhile. I was raised on Myrtle Av and hung out at Myers fish camp as a kid.....The only lake I had ever been on in my life til I was 16 or so. Thanks for the report Jeff....sounds like it paid off for you!

You had a good trip Jeff. And the pics are really nice. Those white Pelicans are all I ever saw until Flipper came on TV and I saw the darker colored ones. Saw about a hundred of them in a Pine Hills retention pond a couple of weeks ago. They got a funky looking lump on their bill close to the head too. You did spend the day with all the birds, good that the fish finally showed their faces, or fins, as the case may be. And you weren't alone, I didn't watch the race either.

Great pictures & nice report even though the fishing was slow, sounds like a great weekend OTW !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

We fished hard on a Kissimmee Chain lake on Sunday...and NADA. Perfect day to fish like you said. We trolled up 10 fish under 10" and pitched minnows across the banks only to get one more dink.

Great pics Jeff. Wonder what it is about that lake that draws so many White Pelicans down every year?

From the fish stories I've heard about before the bridge project, it's probably the only lake you needed to know about, thanks for the back up pic...Mike

Yep, the fish'n conditions couldn't have been better, so I thought, almost pulled the trigger on lake Mary Jane & lake Hart, but didn't have the chance to contact X racer for report...& I probably would have received 3 lashes for coming down there & not fish East lake Toho...heard something about spraying vegetation in that area & changed mind..

Don't ever remember those types of #'s in past & the young doubled the #'s...maybe alligator awareness training the adults were in groups like the photo, but the young were in 1 massive pack.
