    Default Feels good today

The wind is nice & calm here & the sun is shining. I've been wanting to go fishing but the crazy winds have kept me inside. I remember a time no weather conditions would have kept me off the water but these days I'm just not that mad at them. Looks good out there but I have a VA appointment so this morning is out. I'm hoping I can get out this afternoon. Going to certainly try.

I don't think the wind is going to stay calm today. I think I got a lake wind advisory for today last night. Apart from that though looks like a nice day for sure.

I seem to remember a boat ride on Greers Ferry on a day like today with a brand new Skeeter! I know the prop was out of the water... bwahahahaaa

Walked out the door after typing the thread up and noticed the wind was picking up a bit. Walked out of the VA at 11:00 & the typhoon was getting it. I know the skeeter can handle it but I'm fishing out of my tin boat. Don't want to end up in a place with little people & a witch squished under my G3.

I remember that day on Greers. My thinking was if we kind of imitated a flying fish the ride would not be so bumpy. Nothing like a 20 footer completely out of the water & using the propeller as well.... a propeller. That takes skill my man.

Man I've been caught in those situations on Greers Ferry and Grenada when even in a big boat you couldn't drive a sixteen penny nail up my rear with a 2lb hammer I was so uptight. LOL

I remember one trip to Sardis several years ago. We put in at daylight with little or no wind. The water was high enough that year - that we were able to get in the back of a small creek just south of Pat's Bluff. About mid-morning we decided to come out of the little creek and guess what - big time wind with 3 foot rollers. Pat asked me what are you going to do - I said we are going back in that creek and fish until dark if necessary. I think we fished every little piece of cover in that cut and slowed down enough and caught a good mess of fish.
