gonna be tuff like it is with all of us, but knowing it will happen you don't want the dog to be in pain and suffer. i am sure you and your vet will know when that time comes. hang in there bud...

Prayers sent. Enjoy what time you have left with her. My wife & I are dog people and just lost one of ours a few months ago. Heartbreaking when you lose such a good friend.

So we decided to not keep Sophie in the crate 24/7. Seems her rear has gotten to the pump she WANTS to move around and she is. Saturday morning at 3am when i was feeding her--after she finished i went to pick her up and she took off like a lightning bolt!!! Well she's back to acting like a puppy, let's us know when she has to do her business, and is sleeping at night mostly like normal. It's pretty incredible. Would be nice if she could be like this for the duration but I'm sure she'll get bad again at some point but we are pretty happy and amazed.

So it's been a few months on the piroxican and been going well. Found out Tuesday the tumor is GONE!!!!! That is great news but from a bit of research it's probably not over. It more than likely has matastasized probably at least into the bones but again on the bright side she probably has another year in her and as long as she is feeling as good as she is now that will be great. I tell ya it's amazing what that medicine does for a pup.

Thats what I always think each time I lose a pet....I also think there will never be another one like this one. But each time I get a replacement they turn out to be just as good. Main thing is just love them and enjoy them.
