Two Texans from Canyon Lake area, Darrel Woodward and "TETF" Barry Dodd are staying in cabin #7. We will be there Friday afternoon. Since this is our first, what should we expect for activities and what should we bring? In other words, what is the agenda?

There is a copy below of "D"'s post in another thread below.....it pretty much sums up the agenda....eating is in the Pavillion over by the RV camping area.....you might find folks that are not fishing over there during the day drinking coffee....most folks do bring their boats and will be fishing....there is a boat launch and fish cleaning station just past the RV area....if you enter the big fish jackpot, just be sure you get to the weigh in by 3:30(see the Big Fish thread).....no morning check in when you head out.....go whenever you like.....the only group eating together is in the evening.....it is a "pot luck" where we bring whatever we like.....you are not required to contribute but feel free to do so....there is a food thread showing what everyone is bringing....you are on your own during the day for eating....also, see the post on a raffle....we have a raffle and donate the money to a local senior center....see the post about that.....

    copy of "D"'s post below:.......

Couple important Notes: First shadow has been kind to us supplying shrimp for the frying on Saturdays. This year he is bringing them again. We are gonna help him out by having a shrimp peeling party in the pavillion either Thursday night after the treck to the El Gyro's or Friday night after the pot luck. All volunteers please show up. It takes a while to peel and devein 3 gallons of shrimp. Second and most important. The main complaint the last couple years is how late we eat. To help that Randy and I have moved up the fish pot weigh in to 3:30 at the fish cleaning station. This will help us to get the Saturday dinner going and served by hopefully 6 to 6:30. I can do the weigh in if it is a problem for anyone wanting to fish later and not weigh in. But be there at 3:30 if you want to weigh and participate for the pot. Once again it will be $5 per day.(a thread will be added later) We need to get the dinner done early, so we can get on with the raffle. We are inviting a representative from the Senior center to partake of the activities Saturday night and will present them the money after the raffle ends. I will be putting some item pics on that thread tomorrow. Please feel free to add to them. Tickets this year will be $1 for one, $5 for 6.

Thanks for joining us, it will be a pleasure for all of us to meet you. To sum it up in a short summary:

Thursday evening at the pavilion for soup/chili for those showing up early for a shrimp peeling party.
Friday evening is a potluck where folks bring dishes to share.
Saturday evening is our fry along with the raffle.

Big fish pot for Friday and Saturday. There are separate threads for the food/supply list, the raffle list, this list (what cabin are you staying at), and the big fish pot.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Cool fellas. I'm seeing 15 cabins at the San Miguel SRA rented thus far. Also included is Tal at Wildwood next door (cabin 5). Also, I believe Didi's sister and husband has an RV spot. I also want to include the folks that will drive over that live close by. That includes Skip, Bob (snakeriver), and Ferdi.

    Bruce, please update - thanks.
