    No need to cut the wings off. Basically fillet the wings. Make a cut straight down where the wing meets the body. Then fillet the wing meat out until you finish the cut at the tip of the wing. The top of the wing has the most meat but the bottom of the wings can be fillet too just not as much meat.

    Cut into bite size pieces batter and fry just like any other fish. You can also take those bite size pieces and cook them in a crab boil but I like fried better.

    Make sure the ray is DEAD before filleting. If you do get stung while wading or whatever meat tenderizer on the wound seems to help ease the pain. Best advice though is shuffle your feet along the bottom and spook them away to avoid getting popped. You do not want to get stung by a ray. The barb is serrated and is a very effective weapon. It would kind of feel like a double edged saw going into your skin.
