That's what's hanging over the front of mine along with the Terrova.

I have my Down image/side image transducer on the back of the boat. My bow mount unit is linked to the back transducer as well as the front.
I have zero need for it at the front (for what I do)
I have OCD "Obsessive Crappie Disorder"
There are plenty choices out there, that use both a remote and foot petal. A remote will drive you nuts trying to fish for bass or bream on the bank. Get the duel, a little more pricey but well worth it.
Hand control with power button . I single pole and spider rig .![]()
The Minn Kota Terrova with IPilot has both a remote controller and a foot controller as well. That's what I have and love it.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.
Definitely get something that has both the hand and foot control. That would put u in a Terrova at minimum. I have the ulterra which is AWESOME for what I do. Only prolem I have with ulterra is that there was no way to attach an external transducer. But.....a guy has recently uploaded pictures in the electronics section of an idea that I think will work with the Ulterra. So I'm gonna try that out! Im pretty excited about it!
I have a power drive v2 and ran it off the foot pedal for a while then I added the co-pilot which has the wireless key fob remote. I love it. I have fished in boats with I-pilot and don't care for them. I have had to replace parts on mine and they are fairly easy to work on also. Minn Kota's website is very easy to choose the one that is best for you. If there is a tough decision on size to buy I would say go bigger than you think you need. I bought mine used for a very fair price. If I upgrade it will be to have the stow away feature to launch the boat by myself and call it back to me.
