Just got back from goose pond where we stayed for five days. It was slow and we only caught 20 crappie but they were a pound or better. I wish I had of came a little latter because you guys are going to be killing them. 79 bridge was so crowed that I could not even get my hand under that bridge. Bait fish are in there and the little crappie will be getting out the way or they will be the bait fish.

Glad you caught some good ones. That's why c clamps are still in business because of that bridge! Lol so many folks fish that bridge I have seen That bridge so full that you can't get thru and the funny thing lots of times folks not even catching many fish.

that bridge has everything a crappie needs, depth or not, baitfish, cover at several depths and lots of folks with no clue on most occasions. I cant count the times Ive been there and heard folks say something like, "no current so no bite" or "I never catch them deeper than 6 ft" etc..... . there are catchable crappie there year round for those in boats, and most days from the bank. I caught several good slabs there back in July from the bank that were only 8 ft deep and that's not uncommon. try changing tactics to get a bite.

the cursing and threats of fisticuffs won't be far behind around the bridges from boaters and the bank crowd.
