    SeaRay,
Sounds very similar to our plan.
Keep posting the lakes guys. We plan to set up camp and fish most of them. I too like the idea of traveling to all the Crappie.com gatherings.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!

I'm sure my wife will have more say in it than me but, I was thinking. If we go west it's Montana, if we go East it's Main. Would not surprise me if we end up back in Northern Wisconsin.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

I retired this past spring and my wife will retire at the end of this year. We would love to go somewhere south but we have a granddaughter that we would miss too much to leave right now. So we bought a small place on a lake that has its own dock as a vacation home and have a ball during the fishing season there. Next spring we hope to jump around hitting other states crappie camps, staying as long as we like. And when winter hits again, there is nothing more we love than watching our granddaughter playing basketball. Illinois is definitely a place you like to say you used to live, but with my family here and the life we have built, it's a pretty good place to be and we will stay right here.

Florida has no state income tax either! My choice would be Lake Lochloosa or Cresent Lake here in Florida, but then my blood's too thin to live up north unless it's in the summer!

We did cross the lake just to have a look see. Next time I'll contact you on here before coming and maybe you can show us around a little. We were unprepared to see housing opportunities. Where as in Lexington I had done some research ahead of time.I'm going to friend request you so I remember your handle.

Ohio! Good Lord, Man! That is so far north that you can't get there from here. I can not see going any further north than Kentucky Lake. And yes, from my perspective, anybody living north of Tennessee is a Yank (and Tennesseans are complicated!!!)

Ha ha ha ha ha ....... Just thinking out side of the box...... I've fished a lot of different lakes ( growing up with a competitive tournament fisherman as a father ) I'll say this , Erie is by far my favorite body of water ....... Although I love the southern culture and way of life for sure .......
