caught this fish Friday night under a cork in 5 ft water about 2 1\2 ft deep outside a brush pile on a white mid south with a white jig head tipped with a minnow cork disappeared so fast I froze I thought too long but wen I set the hook the fight was on I thought with a catfish, when finally saw his mouth first thing I said was get net !no scale so I measured it 163/4 inches. jiggemaxx told me few people catch a 3 pounder mount it i said self fewer people get fish for one or ever get to eat one besides he a 3.8 one wall and ate a 4+ lb now I look at the biggest fillets I ever cut and will eat and going o buy a scale in anticipation of bigger and better.

It's a giant! Where is the head? Can I still get the otoliths?
