Agreed! I wish Suffix Seige was available on 1/4lb spools. I can not stand having a bunch of 3/4 used spools of fresh line hanging around.

The Cabelas Pro-Line 4 lb hi vis. has worked great for me. I got mine 2 or 3 years ago and it was still doing it's job well in gin clear water yesterday . If they have changed it I'm happy to have 4 1/4 lb spools on hand stored in total dark. I have good results storing all line in darkness . Line will get plenty of UV after it is spooled.

Thanks for the replies. The old Excel said made in the USA right on the spool and was clear blue. The new and not improved is just clear and says made in China. Cabelas pro line is made in India. Yep five to ten bucks per bulk spool in four different weights adds up to a few bucks.

I have used Berkley trilene xt for years it does'nt seem to get birdnest or windknots as bad as of the other lines and is a very strong line per line diameter. Braid is expensive and ive had problems with birdnest and windknots with all braids ive used.

Cheap...Zebco Omniflex High Strength Mono filament Line...Walmart or Ebay.

Have used this line for some time now and it is very abrasion resistant and tough. Cheapest and best line I have found so far. Probably cheaper out there but may not be as strong.

This is cheap in cost but not quality in my opinion. If you want brand name pay the extra. I don't.
