    Thanks everyone for the compliments and comments! Cyberwolf, your post reminds us all to cherish every moment on the water with the next generation. Your son will return to fish with you again, and that day will be awesome!

    Just a few observations about my trip...The water in Grand River had risen 0.4 ft since the Saturday before when I caught 40...What in the world is the water doing rising in the biggest drought we had this year? The water was dirtier than last weekend also. The water temp was almost exactly the same despite the air temp being 10 degrees cooler. The fish i cleaned last week had bellies full of tiny shad...every single one of them. These fish were all empty in the belly. That small rise coupled with the high pressure had shut them down for sure, so I am very grateful for what we were able to catch... But they will feed again! and hopefully i will be out there to git em!
