That's a great lil mess o fish. Sorry you couldn't make camp. Keep an eye out for the spring camp posting. The date has already been set for June 11, but the location is still open.

    Danny,

We buy a lot of our Spinners from "Jann's Netcraft". Those should be around a size 1 or size 2 Colorado blade. You can also buy the beads there as well. Several places sell "walleye spinner blades" or "perch spinner blades".

IF you do decide to purchase some, you need to ensure you have clevises to attach the spinner to your line. Size 1 or size 2 would be good for those blades. Personally, I purchase "quick Clevises". This allows you to change blades without having to change the entire setup. They sell them in metal or plastic. I prefer the metal ones. Plastic tends to get brittle and the little holder arms break off.

hello d wichlundrh is right size 1 on the spinner blades. but not using those now, the fish are in transition mode. so we are using a number 6 light wire hook on an 12" leader made of 4lb mono then a split shoot. they are just starting to school up here. and in all depths of the water column. we are catching some a foot off the bottom in 18 ft of water and 10 minutes later 2 ft under the surface. hope this helps D
