Newbie from Missouri
I am totally new to posting threads and such but am going to jump in and try. Making time for more fishing now and am really interested in crappie fishing with a green/white light at night. I will be fishing mostly on Bull Shoals lake on MO/ARK border. Any help with site navigation and crappie fishing in general would be appreciated. I have learned a lot already simply by looking at different threads.
I am a 62 year old male with 4 kids and 11 (with one of em in heaven) grandchildren. Truly Blessed! First of all I love God, then comes hunting and fishing, bluegrass, blacksmithing, wood carving, and way to many other things to list. I am still working as a superintendent of a small K-8 school in south central MO. Hoping to retire in a few more years.
I look forward to getting to know some of you personally and gleaning from the wisdom contained in this forum.
Thanks,
Uncle Donkey

Welcome to the site, UD. Looks like you got the hang of posting and creating new threads!
Never fished Bull Shoals but you should hear from some who have.
Just keep doing what you're doing....reading threads and learning what you can. For historical information specific to Bull Shoals, I would use the search tool in the upper right area to "Search Forum" and put in "Shoals" for the search term. Should get some hits with that.
And they'd probably be more relevant than if you searched for "Bull S"!! Liable to return every post ever! And anything ever posted by Keeferfish!

Thanks Joedog! At the very least I know that I accomplished my first post. At the most I have new cyber friend!
Thanks again!

Welcome! Good to see another Bull Shoals fisherman on here! I was beginning think I was the only one left! I'm in Mountain Grove, about and hour and a half from Theodosia. I own a sporting goods store so I don't get to fish as often as I'd like, but hey that's life.
Haven't heard much report from Bull lately with the rain and high water?

Donkey- Welcome to the site. Not too many post on here from Bull Shoals, so maybe you can be our go to source down there. If you want to check out a good bluegrass festival coming up in a few weeks, go to starvycreek.com. I'll be working the gate there so if you come up, stop in and ask for the crappie fisherman.

Thanks for the welcome frayed knot! I plan on coming to Starvy Creek at least once. My brother will be camping there. Hopefully I will see you then.

Have not fished Bull Shoals since I was a kid (been awhile) so not much help there. Welcome to CDC, a lot of good info and people on here.

Thanks Clownfish! I have had a great sampling of the folks on here with my first post. Seems like a fine bunch of folks.

Thanks luremaker!
I live in Wasola (between Ava and Gainesville). If I am up your way I will try to come by your store. Is it alright to ask where you are located and business name? Thanks for the welcome!
