It's a deal Russ! I've got to work out the details at work but I'll just close the doors for a day if necessary. Looking forward to it.

Default Where do you catch crappie on lake conway?

I have fished on lake Conway several times and never seem to be able to locate and crappie. Where do you put in at and what area of the lake do you fish at? Thank You

I think about all the Old Timers I have knew, most have past and others have just gotten too old to get out there and crappie fish the way they once did. But when I talk to them I still see the flame in their eyes. I still have allot of fishing to do but I also know Father Time is starting to catch up to me. The lake I love is not often what you would call A fast bite lake and many days it takes time and allot of work to put a catch together. I hope the good lord blesses me with at least another 20 years of crappie fishing on Lake Conway, before it become No Country for this Old Man. Oh ya same report as my last post. Tight Lines...

Parlarm and Adams ramps off Hwy286 are the best ramps to get to the north Parlarm arm, On the Caney Creek arm you have Brannon's, gold creek and on the extreme north end you have the Caney Creek access. Be careful out there at all times lots of stumps, boat trails not marked well in some spots, and sometimes you swear your in a trail and hit a stump, and gets very dangerous with wind. Had a fellow killed out there last year in the Pierce creek area I believe the wind turned him over. Not a lake to mess with if you don't know it very well.
